Summer Sessions

Annie, Jr. Waiting List

Due to the popularity of our first two summer sessions, we have added a third week-long session, Annie, Jr., to be held Aug. 19-24 for youth entering 1st through 9th grades. This program will culminate in two performances at the Horizon Center in Brunswick on Aug. 23 and 24. Due to the size of the venue, the number of actors will be limited to 30 per session (10 Pioneers entering grades 1-3 and 20 Thespians entering grades 4-9).

This program has reached capacity, so we have created a waitlist in the event of any cancellations. Please click on the link to sign your name Full and partial scholarships are available, and information on how to apply will be sent to you after pre-registration.

Thespians (grades 4-9):

Monday – Thursday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.; Friday, 1-8 p.m.; Saturday, 11:30 a.m.- 3 p.m.

Auditions

 

All participants will be cast in a role in advance to better prepare for the week-long session. Once registration is closed, more information will be provided. 
 

A full read-through of each play will also occur prior to the beginning of each session. The read-through for will be held at the Midcoast Presbyterian Church and should last approximately 2 hours.

Troupe Fees

​

Full-Day Registration Fee (Thespians, entering grades 4-9)

$300 = Full price of $250, plus a $50 contribution to MYT to cover scholarships for others.

$250 = Full price for one participant.

$150 = discounted payment option.

​

1/2 Day registration fee (Pioneers: Grades entering 1-3)

$150 = Full price of $125, plus a $25 contribution to MYT to cover scholarships for others.

$125 = Full price for one participant.

$75 = discounted payment option.

MYT is accepting requests for full or partial scholarships. Please email michael.millett@midcoastyouththeater.org for more information or to
request a scholarship. Payment for Annie, Jr. is due in full by April 28 to

hold your spot.

Director – Avery Himes

Avery grew up in Brunswick and is a graduate of Brunswick High School. She participated in many youth theater productions, both acting and directing. Avery holds a B.A. in Theater Studies, a B.S. in Business Management from Elon University, and a Master’s in Accounting from Boston College. She is now a CPA and mom of 3 residing in Holliston, Massachusetts. Avery is excited to be coming back to MYT this August to direct Mary Poppins, Jr.

 

Director – Rachel Morris

Rachel Morris is a graduate of Hofstra University, and she is so excited to be working with MYT again this summer! She has a BFA in Drama Performance and studied Fine Arts and Disability Studies during her time at Hofstra. She assisted in directing Beauty and the Beast and Matilda alongside Avery Himes last summer and is so happy to make more memories with the campers this summer. She hopes you enjoy the show! Rachel will be directing two shows this summer, Cinderella, Jr. and Annie, Jr.
