Get ready to laugh out loud with Something Rotten! JR, a side-splitting musical comedy set in the Renaissance — where everything is new... except for playwright Nick Bottom’s luck! When Nick and his brother Nigel find themselves stuck in the shadow of that rockstar of the stage, William Shakespeare, they set out to write the world’s very first musical!
Filled with big laughs, catchy tunes, and over-the-top dance numbers, Something Rotten! JR is a hilarious mashup of history, hijinks, and showbiz.
From soothsayers to sassy Shakespeare, this fast-paced show proves that when it comes to following your dreams, being a little “rotten” can be a whole lot of fun!

The Bard Pop icon Poet. Playwright. Pop icon of the Elizabethan age. William “The Quill” Shakespeare rose from humble beginnings in Stratford-upon-Avon to become the literary heartthrob of London’s stage scene. Known for his dazzling wordplay, smoldering soliloquies, and ability to rhyme “love” with “dove” at least fourteen different ways, Will quickly became the toast of the Globe—literally. When not revolutionizing theater, he can be found basking in fame, dodging critics, and pretending his “original ideas” didn’t mysteriously appear right after someone else’s. A master of verse, ego, and velvet pants.
